National Library Week, April 23-29!

Celebrate National Library Week April 23-29, 2023

James River Valley Library System encourages all community members to visit the library during National Library Week, April 23-29, to explore all we have to offer.

Most people know about the wealth of stories available at the library--from picture books and large print to audiobooks and eBooks--but there's so much more to the story of libraries.

Libraries are welcoming spaces that bring communities together for entertainment, education, and connection through programming and other great services. James River Valley Library System offers a wide array of programs, classes, and resources, including free access to eBooks, movie and music downloads, and programs of all kinds for all ages.

If you haven't checked out Alfred Dickey Library, Stutsman County Library, and the Bookmobile lately, you're missing the full story. Stop by for a visit to celebrate with us during National Library Week, April 23-29! 

Schedule of events for National Library Week:

• Tuesday, April 25 - Staff Appreciation Day – Stop by any of our library branches and say hello to our librarians!
• Tuesday, April 25 – Bring a friend to Stutsman County Library for cookies and lemonade from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
• Wednesday, April 26 – National Outreach Day – visit the bookmobile at any of the stops in Jamestown. There will be prizes for the kids!
• Throughout the week, there will a treasure hunt and other activities available for kids at Alfred Dickey Public Library.
